Creative Reset Workbook

A gentle 7-day return to your creative self.

Sometimes creativity gets buried beneath exhaustion, pressure, stress, or even just the weight of a long project.

If you’ve been feeling blocked, disconnected from your work, or close to burnout, this workbook offers a gentle way back. Over seven days, you’ll reconnect with your creative instincts and the reasons you were drawn to what you make in the first place.

Who it’s for:

This workbook is for you if:

  • You’ve drifted away from a creative project and want to reconnect
  • Your creative practice feels more like obligation than joy
  • You’ve experienced creative burnout
  • You’re overwhelmed by advice that suggests you just need to “work harder”
  • You’re looking for thoughtful reflection instead of productivity hacks

What you’ll find inside:

Over seven days you’ll explore:

  • Thoughtful reflection/journalling prompts
  • Gentle freewriting exercises
  • Visualization and brainstorming exercises
  • Opportunities to reconnect with your creative identity
  • Ways to notice what’s draining – or restoring – your creative energy
  • Small, manageable actions to help you return to your work without overwhelm
  • A self-care for creatives journal page you can reuse as you like
  • A page to just write out what’s in your brain to help you get unstuck

Why I created it

When I feel like I’m disconnected from my creative centre, the last thing I need is high-energy motivation – it’s curiosity and gentle guidance to return to myself.

As a writer, creative entrepreneur, and highly sensitive person, I’ve found that slowing down and asking better questions often brings me back to the work much more effectively than chasing motivation.

FAQ

Here are some examples of the types of creatives I made this workbook for:

  • Makers selling their creations to the public
  • Photographers
  • Writers, including indie authors
  • Bloggers writing about topics like art, travel, fashion, or design
  • YouTubers, podcasters, or other content creators
  • Visual artists like animators, painters, or illustrators
  • Graphic or web designers
  • Performing artists like musicians and dancers
  • Filmmakers

In the Creative Reset Workbook, you won’t find life hacks or prescriptive advice. You won’t be asked to optimize your output or overhaul your routine.

Instead, it helps you:

  • Create from curiosity instead of guilt
  • Reconnect before you rebuild

It’s a seven-day workbook, but I encourage you to think of that time container as a framework rather than an expectation. Maybe “day one” can take a week, and that’s fine. Go at your own pace, print it out or fill it in digitally, and return whenever you need.

While I’m not ND, I am a highly-sensitive person who has difficulty with creative routines. I can also easily get derailed by overwhelm. I’m a creative advisor for neurodivergent and/or introverted creatives, and everything I do is designed to be low-pressure and gently supportive. This workbook encourages you to go at your own pace. You’ll identify systems, structures, and people that support the way your brain and creativity respond to best, not what society thinks is best for you. It’s curiosity-based and designed to be adaptable. Oh – and there are no habit-tracking or productivity hacks!

My free guide, Creative Rhythms, Not Routines, explores how to build a creative practice around your natural rhythms. It’s a three-day guide to help you identify your creative rhythm and build a creative practice around your own energy.

Creative Rhythms, Not Routines answers: “How do I build a creative practice that fits me?”

By contrast, The Creative Reset Workbook is a seven-day workbook that’s intended for someone who might be farther along in a creative practice. It goes deeper into what’s sitting behind your creative block or burnout so you can reset before you rebuild. Each day will consist of a journaling prompt, a freewriting exercise, and a visualization/brainstorming component.

The Creative Reset Workbook answers: “How do I find my way back after I’ve lost touch with my creativity?”

Nope! There are no upsells, subscriptions, or obligations with this workbook. But if you like the guide and want more from me, you’re welcome to subscribe to my monthly Curiosity Notes newsletter.
